Stumbled into but Loving it!

                                                                                Attribution: Jalayou

Sacrilege not to write
Facilities available on the 'net
Community so pleasant
Boosts one's presence

Personal challenge
Righteous satisfaction
Opens up new horizons
which otherwise remain dormant

Never a writer but appreciated poetry
Now a discovery writing daily
Time well spent albeit sedentary

But can one be faulted
Remaining in the shadows
Lamenting life's woes?
(55 words)

Written for Gay's hosting at d'Verse on Poetic Movements and
Manifesto in writings and shared with G-Man's Friday 55

  12. if you wanted hits, this is its. It seems one who writes so playfully won't be committed to lamenting.

  20. You are bang on, man of few words, & each of them is golden, and this is the third 55 I have stumbled onto out here on the poet's trail; just pushes me harder to shift from opus to brevity on this fab Friday; thanks.

  21. Hank thanks for your comments on How I Cope With Adversary.
Having had to take medication for 28 years taking it comes naturally. Plus life has been stressful of late causing more seizures.Don't get me wrong I am not negative but life is not a bed of roses just now. Appreciated your concern.

  22. Challenge and satisfaction – I think you’ve struck on two of the reasons why I write. And that makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something with my day – a nice feeling.

  26. Writing daily would really be a great manifesto - but seems almost impossible for me, because no matter how much I like it - sometimes I will take a backseat for ages. A cool poem.

  27. Oh, Hank, it would be sacrilege for YOU not to write. Loved this manifesto... I logged on too late to Linky mine, but I wrote and posted anyway.

Interesting that you never considered yourself a "writer." Honey, you were born to do this. Thank God for blogging, so we can keep sane! Peace, A
