A split second can change a person's life, when your life changes for ever. I speak from experience. Good write Hank.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Nicely penned. I'm also on the watch for whatever mystery split seconds hide. :)
ReplyDeleteall it takes is a split second and everything changes...so much can happen so fast....
ReplyDeleteI like the split second idea, too bad the desert vision wasn't the total answer.
ReplyDeleteLast spring the Mrs. and I visited Santiago de Compostela and stayed for a Mass there in the cathedral. We saw a lot of the pilgrims. They also swung the penduluming incensed candelabra.
..
A search we all have in our hearts, I think. I love the image of the sword, Hank, and time being cut by it into split-seconds.
ReplyDeleteYep, in the blink of an eye, can be screwed indeed
ReplyDeletea split second can wield so much power.
ReplyDelete'Mystery of Split Second' nicely shaped in haiku! Excellent, Hank!
ReplyDeleteOpportunity must be seized or passed by in such a time. This little second has power. It'll be great to see the parts all together.
ReplyDeleteHank, this is very cool. Loved the form and the sparseness. Well penned, my friend.
ReplyDeleteTime gives a chance ever so often, have to take it
ReplyDeleteRather dark, Hank, with that last line!
ReplyDeletepowerful split second...a wonderful set Hank
ReplyDeletethat's an ominous close, Hank ~
ReplyDeleteHi Hank, as you know I through being hacked had to start a new blog , I remembered most of my few followers and only a few returned their following. I as you can see am following you and wondered if you were going to continue likewise.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day
Yvonne.
Certainly Yvonne! You are a gem! I will never expect to read and listen from postings of others unlike yours. Not only do you have a playlist but one having my favorites as well, the pop scene of the 60's. Those were my teenage years of growing up. These are now sweet memories, Ma'am. Thanks for sharing!

If I encounter bad omens along the way, I run the other way! ;)
ReplyDeleteKindred Spirits

ReplyDeleteI love these haiku inspired on the Camino Hank ... that first is really a nice one.
