Sane in his resolve
Transcends face of Mother Earth
In search of a sword

Questioned by a boy
Mystery of split second
vision of desert

A kind of answer
Unsavory in nature
One of bad omen

  1. A split second can change a person's life, when your life changes for ever. I speak from experience. Good write Hank.

  2. Nicely penned. I'm also on the watch for whatever mystery split seconds hide. :)

  4. I like the split second idea, too bad the desert vision wasn't the total answer.
Last spring the Mrs. and I visited Santiago de Compostela and stayed for a Mass there in the cathedral. We saw a lot of the pilgrims. They also swung the penduluming incensed candelabra.

  5. A search we all have in our hearts, I think. I love the image of the sword, Hank, and time being cut by it into split-seconds.

  9. Opportunity must be seized or passed by in such a time. This little second has power. It'll be great to see the parts all together.

  10. Hank, this is very cool. Loved the form and the sparseness. Well penned, my friend.

    1. Certainly Yvonne! You are a gem! I will never expect to read and listen from postings of others unlike yours. Not only do you have a playlist but one having my favorites as well, the pop scene of the 60's. Those were my teenage years of growing up. These are now sweet memories, Ma'am. Thanks for sharing!

      Hank
