of farewell but doesn't have to be goodbye forever

Writer's Digest  -  2014 PAD Challenge Day 30
with prompt, Calling it a Day

Calling it a day
Concise pretences if you may
In not so many words
Finding courage to slush the dirt

Poignantly assessing the situation
On finding every reason
To get the impact cushioned
With the right mix of emotions

Saying goodbye is an art
To pluck courage appearing smart
Not to startle nor squirm with sadness
But empathy maintained a stature steadfast

Sympathy extended genuinely
Bidding adieu but not entirely
Prospects of meeting again hoping
Just a respite replete with feelings

It is Peaceful and Quiet - a Triversen

A  Triversen:  A poetic form developed by
William Carlos Williams where:
- each stanza equals one sentence.but broken into 3 lines and
- the poem as a whole should add up to 18 lines of 6 stanzas.

We Wordle #16: All the 39
words are used:

leg squat insect spring starving
truth heart air radio laugh yes but
when licking  spongy cat  gentle
wallow wind blue tree draw
picture silver knot weight corner
life small kids rides heart wails
party magic rust sky silent forever

Not able to squat, standing
on my legs truth be told and no
insect is to spring a surprise

Starving my heart out with
the radio blaring on the air
it is a laugh, yes!

But when it comes to licking
and 'milking' it is as spongy and gentle
as to a cat to wallow in the wind

Try to draw a picture so blue of a tree
a silver mare, my mom and small
kids at a party raucous in a corner

Knotted life rides a weight in the
heart to wails of waifs enjoying
the magic of breast feeding

Not here as the quiet rustic sky above
bears witness to a peaceful and silent mode
for feeding time with Mom is a joy forever

beastly  become  beading  branch
cancer cheat  chew  leave speak

Let’s see!
I’m beastly
Truly that’s me
But what’s to become of me
Beading is not my forte
Branch of activity
For an old lady

Instead I want to see
The cancer story
On YouTube apparently
Can someone help me?
I can only chew things bony
But I can give orders if you let me
To humans that’s easy!
Leave it to me
I cheat a little let’s see!

Speak!
Fetch!
Down!
Sit!
Stay!

Clever human, really!
Doggie and man can switch roles uncanny!

A to Z Challenge  #26  -  Z  for Z words (not  too many to choose from though)
NaPoWriMo # 26   -   To write a curtal sonnet

A curtal sonnet is shorter than the normal, fourteen line sonnet. Instead it has a first stanza of six lines, followed by a second stanza of four, and then closes with a half-line. It has an ABCABCDBCDC rhymic structure if one so wishes ( it may not need to rhyme) A 10 syllabic count for the 9 lines is maintained (and  5 for the half line) The syllabic count is also flexible and not necessarily adhered to in many.

A          Zeal to zap for power not zig-zagging
B          Detests  any zombie-like existence
C          And set to counter zealots of all kinds
A          Somewhat  zany but with a zest for living
B          Stuck zippers a phenomena often
C          in haste an obsession for one so blind

D         Having zabaglione instead of pizza
B         A light meal on the quiet all alone
C         An abhorrence to others on the bind
D         Well mannered turn-around none too bizarre

C          Just one of a kind!

Yonder the memories abound
Yonder of bygone days missed
Yonder of childhood and loves gone
Yonder good feelings virtually ceased

Open secret of some relevance

Stolen again without scruples

Bubba Watson at Augusta right on song
The glory of it all, US Masters champion
Struck pay dirt a cool USD1.62 million
For a 4 days' work last week-end

Others pallid scurried drudged all along
But Bubba had in his sight a vision

Black crow dancing above made no kinks
On his game as he towered over them

His ball did bite the greens while others
went belly up, spiraled and struggled
His game grew with powers endured
and he broke the spell with a simple
3-under winning score

It was no myth and it caused quite a ripple
For winning the Masters twice in 3 years
Bubba Watson could safely thumb his nose
And say, ‘oh brother!’ and went to bed
with a broad smile!

And featured in the morning’s papers
is a bonus though they do take a tumble

porcelain pieces on hard surface

Sprained wrists may put them in a limbo
But they swear they should take turns to
be atop the pyramid and hailed as

Is it stumbs
(is there such a word?)
Or is it stumps
A pair of words that gets
one stumped

Or is it to stumble
(there is such a word!)
To fall head over heels
and end up in a blob
Or is it remnants meaning stumps
of a broken tooth or tree branch

Utterly confusing
When it comes to spelling!

Is it ingenious
Being clever to no end
Intelligent,inventive and resourceful

Or is it ingenuous
Being naΓ―ve,innocent and artless
An easy target for a con man

Where one is blessed with a
photographic mind
Just a glance at the word
Is enough to determine
Whether its spelling is right or wrong

Otherwise it is akin to a situation
Where one is writing at the
Whiteboard in front of the class
The spelling is correct but still
It appears incorrect
Unless viewed from a distance

Utterly confusing
When it comes to spelling!

# 1390 on the list

Unlike other impact games
of soccer hockey, tennis you name
it for we often wonder
The object balls are all hurtling yonder
when it is being kicked or hit
But not golf, not one bit!

The ball is stationary it does not move
So says the Golf Pro
So it should be easy to hit.
No, it is not! Not quite right

A precision game highly technical
More mental than physical
But the physical needs to be addressed
For that, one must be Pro advised
Golfers must start with a Golf Pro
The swing is perfected not for show

My son Azhar was 9 years
when he was put through a rigorous
routine with a Pro
He held his own at Sacramento
And did creditably well as a result
To stand on his own against an adult

When Pro advised
The swing stays for life
One enjoys the game
That's the aim!!

It is feasible!
