An innocent looking lump

Image:Six bottles of different
types of cancer drugs  (here)

An innocent looking lump
Small  and protruded a little
Nothing to be alarmed
But the doctor was skeptical

Being an attractive lady no less
Faced with pain and much suffering
For anything affecting the breasts
Cause of concern and much worrying

She had read of the medical fraternity
of not really being sincere in one's ill-luck
in advising doses of chemotherapy
to rake in the big bucks

The curse of the big C
Radiation is scary

may just mildly peeking
or in a boisterous show of force
in a rat race killing off
even the slightest silhouette
of competition felt

it happens everywhere everytime
where hobbits or human-kind
stake out rivalry outright and apparent
or seemingly meek and innocent

where greed and power
of that of a hungry alligator
will seek to impose their will
not to fizzle off easily to fulfill
the rogue in human failings
despite Providence's blessings

But life can at times take a dive

I take a walk to appreciate nature
I take light meals for a slim structure
I may gobble
More to enjoy
But not seen silly to maintain stature

I love my car and keeps it sparkling
I love to speed when out on a spin

Dare take liberties

In fact, even the duck is able to tell
That I'm a safe bet to be with

How I sit is my bother, honey
You may call it a passing fancy
but it is none of anyone's concern!

It may be late in the day
but as a parting shot let us say
that I need not tower over others
to earn my keeps
nor do I need to fiddle over their affairs

I don't owe anyone a living

Lust for travels is such a wonder
To surf cyberspace or physically
on the road one is happily rocking
along to defy years of longing
with a big smile

The greatness of accessibility as a
convenience can never be denied
If one has the leisure of time and
space then a car tour can uncover
lots of pleasant surprises not
anticipated or expected

No way one is to skip an interesting
feature within reach nearby to be
tucked under the belt

For to come back again sometime
later in the future to the same place
is just wishful thinking and plainly
a foolish option

Whipping up an itinerary is not easy
Implementing it to the letter is a mistake

Freedom of movements and mobility
and later subsequent adaptations if
need be are all  important elements
of success and joy

There are occasions when one gets duped
Someone suggested this to be an ideal bark
I would rather decathect in disbelief
but not to the extent of objurgating the kind soul
who was perhaps trying to help

It certainly looks to be alien

I may have to revert to the previous
modus operandi,
by quickening my pace avoiding time wastage
leading to faster dissolution of doubts
so as to enhance possibility of success

I should then be able to duck some issues
to get to something more tangible

sacred years writing act breath

I don't dig this
I just can't bear it
It dulls my mind
We belong in the wilds
Why on earth is the bother

We need to prosper
That was the contention

But shoving us to be with humans
is not the spirit
We belong in the wilds
I'll say it again

It is sacred!
At least provide a wild environment
Like the Sea World where we were for years

The writing was on the wall
We were supposed to be progressive
To interact more with humans
To live like humans
To eventually take over the human race

We are expected to rule the world
We are allowed to take on a couple of humans as pets
Just as how they have been doing to us

Come to think of it
That is not a bad idea
Yes, that will be fun

Now I can breath easy
That will be the day!

But you had lately looked away

Save the situation, what am I to do
I'm all miserable and feeling blue
You seem to enjoy it all the more
When I dread it all unlike before

Give me a break
Sane thing to take

You know how much I had loved you
Was it not a shock that we are through?

'Sustenance is the problem,'

Image: The Reading Habit
Should Start early (here)

the 12 given words:
why, wait, pick, book, read, until,
end, lucky find how, reader, friend

Why wait to pick up a book
It is to read until the end
that presents the greater challenge

Cultivating good reading habits
cuts across the sedentary comforts
It is being lucky to find it easy
to reach out for a good title

How then to finish it fast?
How then to keep on running?
as chalking up a bundle spells success

A frequent reader and a friend
has this strategy that works

An interesting read keeps one glued
to its pages which is not a problem

'Sustenance is the problem,' he said

This can be overcome
like many boring situations
by a break in between

Read, continue reading but multiple titles
Switch one to the other when boredom sets in
Eventually many books can be completed
The friend says it works!

Artist: Monet , Sunrise (1872) (fair use)
Image: Monet was attributed to be the
founder of the 'impressionist movement'
in art with his painting, 'Sunrise' which
depicts the port of Le Havre at sunrise

tangle (to unite or knit together in intricate confusion)
epigrammatic (adj)) of or like an epigram;
terse and ingenious in expression
tenon (v)) A projecting piece of wood made for insertion
into a mortise in another piece, to join securely)
oblivescence (n) (adj)) witty, concise saying
vase overslept

Wrought with hazy lines entangled
beautifully in a confusion of a rusty aging
in a misty pastel background Monet
was hailed by his peers as the master
of an impressionist mind

Epigrammatic in an art sense 'Sunrise'
fitted squarely like a ‘a mortise and tenon joint’
into the art scene when first exhibited in 1874

It was akin to the equivalent of an oblivescence
of Shakespearean brilliance expressed in an art masterpiece

Even better yet with a vase of fresh water- lilies
next to it (Monet's signature flower) to
complete the picture

One would have been caught in an overslept
mode not appreciating this form of the art world

Found at the same spot standing
Where the photographer had been
A bird's eye view of a spectacular scene

An artist's perspective creation
Set to stop in time at a distance
The Roman numerals unmoved unconcerned
But the hands  ticking away in motion

High above for a moment in time
Meditating alone on life's challenge
Undisturbed but peacefully aligned
Appeased in dreams that seemed blind
