Cinquain:
First and last lines have 2 syllables,
intervening lines have 4, 6 and 8
syllables

Tony expanded it a syllable per line
in a new form

Spring's greens seen
It just cannot wait
With Bright colors peeking out
And small creatures making presence felt
Just Alive!

Season moves
When cold receding
but just intermittently
It might just come back with vengeance though
It might just

Life's been good
Only keep one's head
So much more to accomplish
Hardships in between makes it more fun
Just stay cool!

  2. Such a positive message for all! Especially the last five lines, which spoke to me the most! We all have hardships but the only thing we can do is keep our heads up and keep going, persevering and enduring to the end!

  4. Oh, yes. I can well imagine that winter might come back with a vengeance. I never really count on spring until mid-march.

  5. Ha, one never should be optimistic about winter's leaving. One can't be sure it is gone until April!! Good one, Hank.

  13. Talent will peep through, sometimes way before its time. Like those crocuses in the corner of winter. Nice.
