'Sustenance is the problem,'

Should Start early (here)

the 12 given words:
why, wait, pick, book, read, until,
end, lucky find how, reader, friend

Why wait to pick up a book
It is to read until the end
that presents the greater challenge

Cultivating good reading habits
cuts across the sedentary comforts
It is being lucky to find it easy
to reach out for a good title

How then to finish it fast?
How then to keep on running?
as chalking up a bundle spells success

A frequent reader and a friend
has this strategy that works

An interesting read keeps one glued
to its pages which is not a problem

'Sustenance is the problem,' he said

This can be overcome
like many boring situations
by a break in between

Read, continue reading but multiple titles
Switch one to the other when boredom sets in
Eventually many books can be completed
The friend says it works!

  10. Coming out of years of working in a library before the electronic book age, I can sooo identify with your sentiments. I am all for the new age electronic gifts but I hold dear to that aesthetic of picking up a book turning pages and reading.
I have so far written 3 illustrated books for children and am in the middle of publishing a forth. My first thought when I write these books is readership. I want children all over the world to pick up my books turn the pages and be delighted

Thanks for dropping by my blog Hank
    much love...

  13. I am not sure about two books as you might get the characters or scenes muddled howver I do a agree that snacks be taken along with your book to a comfortable chair with good lighting hoping no visitors come along!

  14. I do that! I switch back and forth between several books at a time. It's a great way to keep up one's interest.
