The Technique of Narrowing Focus
For haiku writing of a -5-7-5 syllable count -
- To start with a
wide-angle lens approach in the first line (5)
- switch to a normal
lens for the second line (7) and
- zoom in for a close-up
at the third.(5)
Peaceful country-side (5)
Chirping birds sing up the trees (7)
Lone magpie loudest(5)
Cool misty mornings (5)
Blessed soul venturing outdoors (7)
Mitten covered hands (5)
Happy young lovers
Holding hands along the path
Girl whispers sweetly
