gentleman, Dave King

Emptiness softly
engaging a warm soul
with empty feelings

Perfect gentleman
Left a void that struck hard
on terms of friendship

Heavy heart held high
Unforgettable talents
Shell of memories

    it is a void that struck hard...i was in a cloud all day yesterday...and even still today...he was a gentleman....and a poet...thanks man...

    I am thank to you Hank for your immediate thoughtfulness, by posting a message at Poets United, which alerted me to the sad news.
    Dave has left behind a connection for us to use, when we visit his poems and refect upon his individual comments.

      Thanks Eileen! Somehow Dave left lots of emotions among us. That charisma built up as the hours progressed. It would also take sometime for us to come to terms with his passing!

    I realize how often I see the word "gentle" used to describe Dave. I think it is a high honor for a man to be considered in this way. :)
