Seeing Double

Seeing double, seeing trouble
Is it for real?
No, it’s not funny
With bated breath I sense the oddity
It sends a shadow of doubt in the head
What of today’s bread !

It  seems queer
Of what’s on offer
No, not just surprised
Even thinking
and with a pinch of salt
It seems weird

Two of a kind
making copies
Of each other’s hand
And in 3-D!

An entirely weird thread
The gravity of the situation
Knocks on an unsuspecting
A landscape of wonder!

Tell me what’s the plans
No goody-two-shoes
Just the plans
Just tell me the plans
It’ll be double the fun
Don’t weigh in the dumps
It’ll turn out to be a good run
If we play our cards well
It’ll be swell!

  1. I appreciate your exploration of this drawing. It is an odd image. And yes, everything works out if we play our cards well. Sometimes, even when we don't. Nicely penned, Hank.

  4. It is really beautiful, reminds me of Rhyme and Reason, what's more with P.D. Bond as the literature Master.

  6. Excellent combining of the prompts! Sometimes I can do this, but most of the time it's kind of difficult.
