passing under the leafy willows

of a street of temples

an evening of rain

drab and dragging a day of

silence with no signs of life

passing under the leafy willows

of a street of temples

an evening of rain

quiet respite of solace

in the offing for many

passing under the leafy willows

of a street of temples

an evening of rain

where it is not to dampen 

spirits of those wanting fun

Note: Somehow I'm taken with the demure quiet, surrounding the haiku and
decided to create 3 Tan Renga

Written for Chev's Tan Renga Challenge #10 where the haiku of  Shirao  is
given (in italics) as a prompt. We are to complete a Tan Renga with an
additional 2 lines of 7-7 syllables.
