Best Left Unsaid

Picture Credit: Courtesy of Tess Kincaid's Magpie

Discarded

Abandoned sofa
Vagaries of the weather
Lashed heaven’s fury

Smacked the ungrateful
Wild times or relaxation
Conveniently lapsed

Secrets abundance
Speak and reveal I will not
Was wild and vicious!

  2. Hank, I like this match of image and picture - especially the memories of what may have passed upon the sofa... but the last two lines, perhaps a typo? Check it out and let me know, because I don't want to waste a great first impression! Thanks, Amy

  4. Oh, if furniture could speak - wouldn't our homes become noisy? :)

  5. Great thoughts from the couch. If only they could remember.

  8. Must feel reborn having it's life inflated once more, with no one sitting on it and sucking the air from it's grasp. That is if it could talk, but somehow it took a walk and got free. Yep, enough out of me.

  12. A most unusual subject but none the less good to read. I once wrote about a common garden pea.

  14. I like how you brought in the "vagaries of the weather" in the first stanza and then used "wild and vicious" at the end. Very atmospheric magpie.
