Urn full of knick knacks
Storage of items not used
Life is just as true
Change for the better
Always possible but then
Just human nature
Beyond redemption
Bane of the disciplined soul
Procrastination
Submitted for Haiku Heights with prompt #95- Urn
A great message in each one. Excellent writes.
ReplyDeleteA storage place of knick knacks - telltale sign of procrastination ~
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend ~
Oh procrastination can creep up one us all
ReplyDeleteBut sometimes it is needed at ones hall
Other times not
Letting the soul rot
When we should have a ball
The urns in my house would have been overflowing with all my accumulated knickknacks!! Now I just won't let it collect!! Good reminder!!
ReplyDeleteExcellent as always Hank.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Very scary word, Hank. Everything in my house is full of something. It makes me crazy! Just thinking about it is enough to give me a headache and send me to have a nap.
ReplyDeleteThis human's nature is beyond redemption, and so is my husband's, when it comes to getting rid of things.

Good take on urn.Keen observation and apt comparison to life! I've not thought of anything positve to write about on this prompt. Shall give it more thought :)

Procrastination is my bane! You hit it right on the mark. (although my mind is a bit undisciplined) Good haiku!
ReplyDeleteGreat message :)
ReplyDeleteDear All,
ReplyDeleteIt is agreed then. It's an affliction that affects everyone. Knick knacks or whatever are always there. We have the urge to get rid of them but in our heart of hearts we treasure them. We dread to make the move. A friend gave a tip in terms of time frame. If you don't touch it for a whole year then you'll not miss it if you get rid of it!
Hank
Putting it in such a simple way.. and giving a lovely message.. great..
ReplyDeleteVery well done haiku. I had to read it a few times, but ... it's really a nice one.
ReplyDeleteTimely messages within ~~
