3WW given words
pathetic radical seamless
Radical change in
a seamless world not likely
affecting others
Pathetic though but
designs of holding onto
worldly possessions
Prized Nike had seen
better days to stake claim of
pride of ownership
For Thong's 3WW week #464
What a poignant image sensitively told in this poem..i can imagine the pride when they were new..and would like to replace those shoes too
ReplyDeletePride through and through when they were new, but still there no matter the wear.
ReplyDeleteGood to remember our relative wealth
ReplyDeleteI remember this one and it's a great one
ReplyDeleteWonderful to read Hank. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
For all the affluence and greed there is in the world little is done to elevate those to share the world's wealth. Charities reach so few of the needy and poverty maintains profits. Thank you Hank for this post.
ReplyDeleteYour poetry is so touching, especially with this pic. It made me hold my breath.
ReplyDeleteHaving lived in a "third world" country I realized that their pride is something we can learn from. Love this!
