Smaller and Helpless Cat (here)

Goaded and pushed into a corner
Egged on by the desire to defend
One's pride and dignity is sacred

No one should be let off scot-free
to insult and cast unfair aspersions
No one should be expected to meddle

My domain is my bother

  1. Very heartfelt words Hank and a most suitable picture to capture the message in this verse.

  2. I love that picture, Hank. It reminds me of my own cats, who do sometimes goad each other but it's their way of playing. Cats' lives are more straightforward than human lives, where
'No one should be let off scot-free
to insult and cast unfair aspersions'.

  5. Yes, each person's pride and dignity are sacred...no cattiness allowed!

  6. Hopefully playful teasing! My kitty loves to do this to both of our dogs! It's always play time actually for all three of them! Kitty even loves their tennis balls!

  7. Aw. I guess animals play the games as people.

  8. Pride shall be scooped carefully... we need it, but need to be careful so we don't end up scratched.

  9. Good last line: "My domain is my bother"

  10. Reminds me of the movie Dirty Dancing when Johnny says "Nobody puts baby in the corner"
