ReplyDeleteMost imaginative Hank. good to read and loved the pic.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Mos dogs don't wash their feet!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, dirty feet it's a summertime thing!
ReplyDeleteI am so curious what is this old wives' tale I haven't heard this one! What happens if you don't wash your feet?
ReplyDeletemlmm
Apparently bad dreams beseting one on account of going to bed unwashed

Thanks!
DeleteAs always, a clever and unexpected use of the words to create a story in a poem.
ReplyDeleteAh yes I have heard of this notion. One must wash their feet before going to bed.
ReplyDeleteYou used those words wonderfully...enjoyed the take!
ReplyDeleteYou made me smile. And i didnt know about the old wives tale before.
ReplyDeleteMuch🌼love
I too am smiling, Hank. :)
ReplyDeleteThis Old Wives Tale has escaped me but it must be good. I'll have to check to see if there is a compilation of them around.
..
Also meant to comment that your dog photo, cute, reminds me of the bulldog that died in the United Plane luggage compartment yesterday. May he RIP.

I'm grinning because before I read the last line of your poem, I was actually hehehe(ing). :-D
ReplyDeleteLove this...such a cute photo!
ReplyDeleteIt is respectful and polite to shower the first time...you have got it right there Hank. Later on who knows?
ReplyDeleteSweet and clever...this made me smile Hank!
ReplyDeleteSix children... I remember days when I was just to exhausted to take a shower or wash my feet before bed. Things have improved for me now :) as 3 of 6 are out the house (not pocket book though :) and the others are much older ... but at one point I had 5 children under 10 years of age! Imagine that.
ReplyDeleteGosh, Marge! You rightly qualify as a super-hero Wonder Woman.Even though 50% left the nest but not 50% of the financial help dished out. Very true. Mothers qualify as an unsung super-hero for sure. The same the world over!

Ah... another old wives tale...tail? I know cats are very clean... but dogs... I think their owners need to be more aware of padded paws. A fun read. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my stuffed prompt piece. ;)
