clouds home naked heads waves
lake glee wishes talk rocks
Clouds the mind bidding for a home run
The naked truth is still not very apparent
Idea in making heads turn that is the fun
Such are pretty ladies with assets to flaunt
Making waves in a calm lake to provoke
Attracting roving eyes of motley of suitors
Flirting with glee twitch of the eyes to invoke
Flurry of male response with age-old wishes
The ladies will always have the upper hand
Not much efforts to lure the unsuspecting lot
Relying on the weaker sex's hidden strengths
Talk is cheap male ego rocks to the onslaught

Well it can be a bit difficult to ignore a beautiful lady's charm but then again if it works out isn't it worth it? :D Well penned :D
ReplyDeleteVery good to read as alway as always Hank,
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
oh how i love that image, and the renaissance of female lure is quite charming
ReplyDeletehave a nice Sunday Hank
much love...
Interesting poem! Very well-written.
ReplyDeleteHank I like the way you formed this verse and the thought beneath (for there is much hidden less revealed). It is a game of sorts isnt it?
ReplyDeleteCheers
"The ladies will always have the upper hand" hmmm...hidden strength that they have :) a fun read...
ReplyDeleteBravo on weaving the given words into such a thought provoking poem.
ReplyDeleteCharms help I think-- unfortunately, some are more or less charming! This was fun Hank!
ReplyDeleteThe ladies will always have the upper hand
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile, Hank.
I liked this... Some real truth here....
ReplyDelete"The ladies will always have the upper hand"
AND
Talk is cheap male ego rocks to the onslaught
Nicely done...
I wonder why, other than the smile, this made me think of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. :) Quite a poem!
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile! There is 'strength' in the 'weaker' sex for sure.
ReplyDeleteA title can be so enlightening...
ReplyDeleteI don't think the "weaker sex" is really the weaker sex. Enjoyed reading this Hank.
ReplyDeleteI also loved the title and the alluring ladies who know they have the upper hand!
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad it takes some of us ladies too long to figure out we have the upper hand, LOL. Men tend to keep that secret in the dark, LOL. This poem made me smile! Too late smart, in my case.
ReplyDeleteWell, I enjoyed the read - including its turn, Hank. Women can be powerful at times - carry charms that can be difficult to resist.
ReplyDeleteCharming and insightful. Nicely rendered.
ReplyDeleteMulti word prompts can be really tricky, but you've woven them together well!
ReplyDeleteHow often have those waves in a calm lake set me thinking...in my youth of course!
ReplyDeleteWe have the upper hand in some things I guess - maybe to make up for the lack of say in the other things! Great write as ever Hank
ReplyDeleteGreat poem, love the perspective in it.
