The naked truth is still not very apparent

APED's given words:
clouds home naked heads waves
lake glee wishes talk rocks

Clouds the mind bidding for a home run
The naked truth is still not very apparent
Idea in making heads turn that is the fun
Such are pretty ladies with assets to flaunt

Making waves in a calm lake to provoke
Attracting roving eyes of motley of suitors
Flirting with glee twitch of the eyes to invoke
Flurry of male response with age-old wishes

The ladies will always have the upper hand
Not much efforts to lure the unsuspecting lot
Relying on the weaker sex's hidden strengths
Talk is cheap male ego rocks to the onslaught

  1. Well it can be a bit difficult to ignore a beautiful lady's charm but then again if it works out isn't it worth it? :D Well penned :D

  5. Hank I like the way you formed this verse and the thought beneath (for there is much hidden less revealed). It is a game of sorts isnt it?

    Cheers

  11. I wonder why, other than the smile, this made me think of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. :) Quite a poem!

  12. This made me smile! There is 'strength' in the 'weaker' sex for sure.

  13. I don't think the "weaker sex" is really the weaker sex. Enjoyed reading this Hank.

  14. I also loved the title and the alluring ladies who know they have the upper hand!

  15. It's too bad it takes some of us ladies too long to figure out we have the upper hand, LOL. Men tend to keep that secret in the dark, LOL. This poem made me smile! Too late smart, in my case.
