Mundane in significance
Stellar make up, jubilant in feelings
Friendly beyond expectations
Good friends are rare beings
Amity an element so elusive
Rollicking and playing games
Exhibiting forms so passive
Takes efforts to stake a claim
Other times easy to come by
Relationships extending for life
Stimulant to good natured high
Not given to having to strive
Of friends, neighbors and countries
Among souls of various extractions
Of different creeds and calling that vary
Must there be untold conflagrations?

So true - good friends are rare beings. Love the question you ask in the last stanza......I look forward to the time when humans recognize that other people are simply humans, too, all with the same hopes and dreams.......good one, Hank. And timely, in these turbulent days......
ReplyDeleteWhere else could one find peace but in the comfort of friends, good one.
