It is a
privilege
To walk in the corridors of power
Many do a good job
To benefit the people
Sadly, a few abused it
With dire consequences

So true
ReplyDeleteAbuse more and more they do
power is a privilege and those that have it often abuse it
ReplyDeleteA fine commentary. I've seen far less said with far more words. Well done.
ReplyDeleteGood show, Hank! Glad to see you back writing these ยต-fiction tales.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I "walk in the corridors of power" it is as a guest. Those who regularly walk there have a great responsibility.
My verdict is "woe" to those who abuse or neglect this responsibility.
..
sadly that is def true...and the numbers seem to be growing of late...
ReplyDeleteTrue enough. Nicely captured.
ReplyDelete(I did a quick count of 5 limericks and averaged 150 characters each. Poo.)

Well done. This makes a lot of sense and gets its message across well.
ReplyDeleteVery nice Hank. Many abuse their power, sadly. Any power usually corrupts in the end.
ReplyDeleteNice job condensing all that into 10 characters, Hank. Privilege brings responsibility which too many, but not all, tend to ignore.
ReplyDeleteI would echo Grandma's comment. Must take a look at her page.
ReplyDeleteSo true..well said, Hank!
