Life is high trapeze
Swinging with uncertainties
Swaying with the wind
Life is whimsical
Clowning with lighter moments
Happy with laughter
Life is seriousness
Fighting hard for survival
For shelter and food
Life is all romance
Two hearts together as one
Never growing old
Written for Tess' Magpie #118
life is all romance you know....the highs and the lows....we are always learning love...and to be loved...in the highs and lows....
ReplyDeleteThe trapeze swings with our lives. Love the imagery, and the romance.
ReplyDeleteBrian - Life is all romance and it's blissful. The highs and lows make it more interesting, certainly
ReplyDeleteBrenda - The trapeze swings give variety

ReplyDeleteAaah life. It is so many things. We write all kinds of poems about it don't we? This one encompasses much of life, our constant university.
ReplyDeleteNice write Hank. I enjoyed it much.
This is a surprise, with its downs and ups, like those old hooray!- awww! jokes, it illustrates reality and which part we concentrate on?
ReplyDeleteSwings and roundabouts, indeed...
ReplyDeleteIf you swing on trapeze, then make sure you have rosin on your hands!
ReplyDeleteYou have harnessed the varying nuances of life...well done
ReplyDeleteLife feels like a circus at times. There are many similarities and you have discovered some. I love the analogies. Thank you for sharing, Hank. My favorite, "Life is high trapeze Swinging with uncertainties Swaying with the wind." Great stuff.

ReplyDeleteWonderful. I love your use of metaphors!
ReplyDeleteall those elements seem to be in the circus, but we should not permit them to abuse and have animals in the circus anymore...enlightenment

Chagall is one of my most favourite of artists, and what an interpretation of the art of the trapeze, as the highs and lows of a relationship.
ReplyDeleteVery nice images in this Hank--and a lot of energy and high spirits--very suitable to both of the pics, and fun to read. Enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteYou've described a wondrous life, Hank. If only each of us could realize the truth, the potential. I suppose, though, each of us shall, sooner or later.
