Hopelessly in love
Bidding for the moon that feigned
subdued sympathy
Affront to goodness
Hideously its hues enraged
Sacrilege to one
Calming wind’s
help sought
Coolness for one to ignite
true love swathed with fire
For April heights Day 6 - Hope
Such a hope all have, but sometimes they get lost in such a fire and things do turn rather dire
ReplyDeleteI like the igniting to true love...hope lingers on ~
ReplyDeletei am glad for the love to reshine in the end hank...hope is a good thing for sure...
ReplyDeleteA lovely romantic haiku. I like the words "subdued sympathy" as we often feel that for those "hopelessly in love"
ReplyDeleteReally love the last stanza. I am holding on to hope, and prayers :)

ReplyDeleteTell Me, Sister Crow
Stormy seas in the middle, but all turned out well in the end. I wasn't sure there for a moment if love's "ignited flames" were going to burn down the house! Best phrase: "subdued sympathy." Thanks, Hank! Amy
