Doubt

Image: Courtesy of Leo's

Sheepishly silly
Adamantly unaware
Surprised to realize

Doubts still in his mind
Frozen cold in a coma
Warped in ignorance

Felt the affliction
Wrapped around the consciousness
Cried out to be saved

Salvation is sought
Aftermath of creation?
And an allergy?

Submitted for Haiku Heights Day 4 #116 - Doubt and d'Verse OpenLinkNight week 38

  1. it is not the doubts or the questions i am afraid of...i think they are vital in the development of faith actually...

  2. Brian,
Rightly said! And faith features most prominently when age creeps up.

  4. Affliction and faith often go hand in hand. The allergy part--made me smile.

  6. A seed of doubt can spawn quite the amount of thoughts. Some are allergic.

  7. You described the moment perfectly.

The only thing without a doubt is our mortality.

  8. Isn't this why they say 'blind faith' because even though we can't see it as such, we still believe it and, I think faith is all about seeking answers to endless stream of questions, it's the digging and discovery which leads us on the right path, usually, isn't it?
Very nice, thought provoking piece Hank.

  9. A very meaningful series. Much food for thought here.

  10. Doubts probably is the need to answer discovered questions. The ending with the questions is effective in further underlining the feeling of doubt. Thus, passing the feeling somewhat to the reader as well. Nicely done. :)
