head check silence spine when 
risk yard metal dry haze sleeping 

keeping my head
to check the onslaught 
suffering in silence
all these while

not any more
not being spineless
when it matters
time to act
armed to the teeth
to face the risks

measured in yards or meters
may not be important
chained armor or otherwise
bare hands or metal protection 
it is no dry run

the haze is clearing
no more sleeping
bring the vaccine
here we come
2021!

    Good word usage, Hank. Most of us are ready for the vaccine. So Far we've lost Mrs. Jim's sister with an elderly cousin in the hospital right now. Also quite a few have caught it but recovered. No reports on outcomes in residual health. How about you and yours?

      We are indeed lucky so far Dr Jim No close relatives are affected
      An old classmate succumbed earlier on though.
