reaching for the sky
finding the truth wondering
lost in thoughts asking
solace in a magic wand
but it is long in coming

lost bidding for time
right a wrong is not easy
running for dear life
folly moving in circles
it is blowing in the winds
(a double tanka)

  1. Very good Hank... I think the folks in Louisiana need some of those. They are looking at the possibility of another big blow coming!

  3. You capture the paradox of the stagnancy of "moving in circles" captured while "running for dear life."

  6. "Lost in thoughts asking" is a good definition of prayer, sometimes God's answers seem long in coming, and folly often moves in circles...lots of truth in this, Hank.

  11. Excellent double dunker Hank. Right now all of life seems to be blowing in the wind. Hope there are brighter days ahead.
