Chev gave a haiku of Shiku to revise,
a basket of grass,
and no one there,
mountains of spring - Shiku
My response is to relate nature's
beauty to elation of success
Mowed to a smoothness

a basket of grass,
and no one there,
mountains of spring - Shiku
My response is to relate nature's
beauty to elation of success
Mowed to a smoothness
Perfect roll for a golf ball
Silky carpet ‘greens’
Cut grass in basket
What is left a spectacle
Visual legacy
Fervor of chatter
Singular shrieks of laughter
Swooning winsome feel
Rowdy nature’s child
Enthusiastic lunacy
Fresh exuberance
Note: Trying to capture in the latter 2 stanzas the
exuberance of a hole-in-one which rarely happens
Written for Chev's CARPE DIEM, Revise that haiku #4 - a basket of grass

Having such a moment would sure be cause for success and cheers
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine
ReplyDeleteha. i can get a little crazy with nature....smiles...
ReplyDeleteumm, not ready to think about cutting the grass yet though
ha
I think you have captured that exuberance nicely, Hank. I cant imagine anything more difficult than getting a teeny tiny ball into a small hole hundreds of feet away.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool take! I would never have thought of this.
ReplyDeletenature,,,always a pleasure to write about
ReplyDeleteAlways something going on with Mother Nature, excellent post Hank.
