Alvae - a Forest Tribe

Lost in innocence
Not expected to save the
world but surviving

Given to tests of
strength meted on tribes who showed
resolve of purpose

Rally around their
leader to mark not just a
presence but a pride

Note: The Alvae is a forest tribe in a fantasy novel by Adrian von Zieglar

Written for Chev's CARPE DIEM #354  -  Alvae

  1. pretty cool...imagine coming upon a forest tribe that had never been found before...how different we must seem to them....

  2. With ever increasing urbanisation the ethnic tribes are being lost.

  3. We'd seem alien indeed to them, as they rally to fight what they see as magical

  4. I have not heard of that book, nor seen that Cezanne. He was good that Paul, painting from heart and light.

I think tribes in forests are the way to go, a much simpler life than the city rat-race.

Hope you are well and having fun in the forest of life.

    1. Adrian von Ziegler is busy to write that novel so it's not strange that you haven't heard of it. The Alvae are characters in that novel he's busy writing with.

  5. I like the realism of your poem. … 'not expected to save the world/but surviving' is a thought that will stay with me.
