ReplyDeleteNice micro-story, Hank. I picked up a hitch-hiker in Iowa once who was hitch-hiking from Hawaii (he said) to New York. He said he mostly stayed in town jails along the way as they were free. Many times he got a couple of meals out of it also.
ReplyDeleteI cleaned up my act as I decided it was in bad taste after the school shootings here and especially on the first anniversary of the Connecticut shooting.
Now the jail is reserved for Mr. Grinch.
