Trying to be smart is not easy
Many have tried and have succeeded
But those who failed are just as many
So how to emulate and get to be feted?
Burning question tickles the mind
Are there easy answers through shortcuts?
Reflect a moment is a good sign
Or sadly one ends in a rut

There can never be shortcuts .... dig harder, and the answers will come up on the surface :-)

ReplyDeleteBeing smart is a pain at times: because it makes things easy (at least initially) and then you start to avoid hard work. I see this in my kids. A poem to ponder!

ReplyDeleteAt least I have not been able to discover shortcuts. If they are out there, they have eluded me. Slow but sure is the way to achieve what one wishes to achieve.

ReplyDeleteI saw your profile but you did not say where you lived – do you live in France? I miss my country and now that my mother is no longer there I don’t fly there twice a year like I did, so it is not easy – I get homesick and I like to speak to people who are still over there.
