Ornate creation
Adapted to nature’s wants
A long narrow beak
Sauntering flower
to flower wings flapping fast
but stationary
In seach of nectar
propagating the process
of pollination
Written for September Heights of Haiku Heights Day 23 P#181 -hummingbird
Hummingbirds are always active and busy :-)
ReplyDeletewe have a bush off the back porch that attracts hummingbirds....they are so cool...i love to sit and watch them....
ReplyDeleteYeah they come so fast
ReplyDeleteAnd then they are past
Flying to and fro
Are surely a sight to see though
The three flow together so seamlessly, the fact that each, on its own, is a well-written haiku adds dimension and charm.
ReplyDeleteunfortunately we don't have them over here...have never seen one in original...would love to..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. We are inundated with them here and during the winter in the desert. They never cease to amaze me. Claudia, come for a visit. I'd love to share them.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen one here ~
ReplyDeleteWould be nice to see one among flower heads ~
The little humming bird does so much and goes so far. They pass through here, Southeast Texas, on their way to really way far South.
ReplyDeleteVery nice set of verses, as usual.
Thank you.
..
There is a difference between the hummingbird and the humming bird moth
ReplyDeleteThe latter we mostly see
at
the end of September.
These lovely little birds have a special job to do. I love to see them in my garden. They really are an "ornate creation"
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I especially like the image of "sauntering flower to flower." That's just what they do, as if by magic.
ReplyDeleteAwesome triplet ... really nice crafted haiku.
ReplyDeleteA good set.
ReplyDeleteExcellent triple.
ReplyDeletelovely set of haiku...well done
ReplyDeleteI love these little pollinators!
ReplyDeleteHummingbird Heaven

ReplyDeleteYeah, they are busy all the time. I love how they keep on flapping their wings! Nice haiku :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite line: "flower wings flapping fast
ReplyDeletebut stationary"
