Warm memories nostalgic in part but put on hold

Inspired by the saying::
Winter my dear would be cold without warm memories
                                                                          -  Sanaa
What of it?
Reflecting on good fortune snug on a pedestal
When life was of prophetic indications pulsating
Looking to the sky clouds bidding as palatable
A tussle to recollect images of a pretty plaything

What of sweet recollections?
Gracious imaginations with mutual feelings of awe
Boy and girl whispering sweet nothings manifold
Insisting on a sacrifice towards a future together
Warm memories nostalgic in  part but put on hold

What of uncanny acquiesce?
The winter of their life together devoid of fears
Meant for each other a relationship so blissful
What kept alive little anecdotes of yesteryears
Two hearts locked in place exquisitely beautiful

  2. I agree, sometimes memories can keep us warm. And then there are those times when they lead us to melancholy. It is our choice,

  3. Whistles!!❤️💝This is absolutely exquisite writing, Hank! I love how you divide this poem into three significant parts, depicting young lovers, their dilemma, emotions and future aspirations. Especially love "What kept alive little anecdotes of yester-years
Two hearts locked in place exquisitely beautiful." Thank you so much for participating at Prompt Nights and for your constant love and support❤️💝

    Lots of love,

  5. Memories can sure keep one all snug. But then have to make new ones too.

  6. I like how you've worked in the idea that there is more to relationships than shared memories, yet they can set the foundation for a stronger relationship to come.

  10. Togetherness is the most warming thing to be with your loved one and when apart those memories are sustaining.

  11. Beautiful images you create of a season to cuddle and relive memories of young love. And the last stanza is simply the best!

  12. Perhaps memories put on hold allow us to hope and keep moving forward - i do hope so

  13. Memoties are a two way tug of war,
    Happiness of one's life together,
Then the sadness of being apart.

Wonderfully captured here Hank. Well done.
    Yvonne.
