caressed by flowing
water
pale moon
shines
to share a night together
with feelings of fulfillment
river stones
caressed by flowing
water
pale moon shines
as others are made happy
sharing some little comforts
river stones
caressed by flowing
water
pale moon shines
and guarded in their approach
mindful love is elusive

ha. i like the thought that the river stones share the night together content...and if others, the river is a wonderful place for a night together!

ReplyDeleteRover Stones
there is an intrigue for sure - my in-laws have lake stones - similar. Washed smooth and are all in a stone bed and it is quite large as they have been collecting for 50+ years.
ReplyDeleteSharing together through any weather, way to throw a stone a bone lol
ReplyDeleteI too like the river stones, Hank. We have them surrounding our house. Did you know they are prettier yet when wet?

ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem. I love the repetition. It give the feeling of the ebb and flow of water.
ReplyDeleteLove the inspiration in this...love is for sharing. May we be people of love.
ReplyDeleteHank, another lovely song... the refrain works so well. I often think about how river stones do keep one another company. I would like to come back as one, in a sweet little brook, if I'm reincarnated! A pleasant, peaceful existence, and the chance that I would smooth out enough that a kid would pick me up and skip the surface with me.
ReplyDeleteAh. Perfect. Amy
