Facing the looking glass

                                                               Artist William Merritt Chase  (1849–1916)
Image: "who's the fairest of them all? " (here)

Facing the looking glass, reflections speak,
A lifeline for both the strong and the weak
Reflecting truths despite masks we wear
Post-Covid the empty gaze, a silent stare.
Seek not safe reaction but embrace what's true,
For beauty lies within, mirrored in you.
