Image: All by Itself in its Own Space (here)
the 11 of 12 given words:
name space dark tinged cry
tap bound strap cracks red cup
made a name for himself
created space in the dark
but tinged with regret he could cry
it did not materialize earlier
he could easily tap his talents
bound and gagged strapped tight
he could only lament
why he succumbed to procrastination?
cracks came in the way
he now realized
red with tears he insisted
it was not his cup of tea
he resolved to make amends

Best to do anything but procrastinate as the wasted time will lie heavily on one's conscience. As one gets older it is worse as there is so much to do and so little time.
ReplyDelete'Procrastination': an all-to-human foible that few, if any mere mortals, are able to avoid, completely. Good one, Hank.
ReplyDeleteSo much to regret in procrastinating......and i find myself still doing it now!
ReplyDeleteWe are all guilty of procrastination I suppose- in our own ways..always assuming there's more than enough time!
ReplyDeleteAll too human!
ReplyDeleteBound and gagged to it, never fun. But procrastinate many do.
ReplyDeleteA good subject and all too human Hank.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Procrastination is life-eater. We waste living putting what needs doing up. And we waste living regretting what we didn't do when we were supposed to.
ReplyDeleteHm... this one might be a message to me. I've been playing the procrastination game for a while.
Love, created space in the dark. I think we all go through this feeling of wasting time. Great poem, Hank.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good resolution at the end, but as a procrastinator myself, I know that resolutions usually get dropped by the wayside as the journey continues.
ReplyDeleteAs a lifelong procrastinator - i recognise this...
ReplyDeleteAnna :o]
Well wordled. Lots of truth, too.
ReplyDeleteI recognize this, I am a procrastinator myself
