MLMM's 10 of 12 given words:
terse reel rancor (bitter, rankling resentment ) surge
testimony crucifix effervesce (to issue forth in bubbles)
viscous (of a glutinous nature or consistency sticky)
cromulent (fine, acceptable) grotesque
A terse and tensed last encounter
She reeled back in obvious rancor
A biting pain surged to her head
Would it be good to play dead?
His words a testimony of anger
A crucifix in hysteria not even sharper
Her heart in outright effervesce
But not revealing viscous offense
Ostensibly cromulent in response
Grotesque images imagined in defense
A fight-back a wrong move she reckoned
But thinking about it got her sickened
Drowned her sorrows in measures of stability
Lying supine in water defying gravity
Maturity of thoughts got the better of her
To rightly give time for both to recover
For Georgia's hosting at MLMM's #63 and
Tess' Magpie Tales #272
Playing dead sometimes is the best course of action, others it can get one into more trouble

But not revealing viscous offense
Weighty words tugging...
