What a make-over! - MF
Image: Courtesy of Grandma's Goulash (here)
What a make-over! You stand tall
You look new, proud and perfumed
Never would have thought. To think
we salvaged you from the jumble sale
(140 characters)
I thought I spied a
birdie up in there.
What a jumble in my mind
I have been stressed out
lately. Perhaps chasing
a mouse is a lot easier.

These are great!
ReplyDeleteHow we try to interpret the inscrutability of felines.
ReplyDeleteThose cats are hard to convince.. We much rather have them go for mouse and rats, but they have to for the little birdies.
ReplyDeletea joy to read both of them...nice use of 'jumble'...
ReplyDeleteHaha! Perhaps but mouse is wise too. Either way it will be a challenge for the cat, Hank.
ReplyDeleteThat 140 controlled characters is a challenge I think.
I love these two pieces..and the image! un-jumbling the jumble can bring rewards ;)
ReplyDeleteI think a mouse would be easier to catch, smiles ~
ReplyDeleteLoved both the pieces - altogether exquisite :D
ReplyDeletefun pieces - I enjoyed the tone of both!
ReplyDeleteYou can find treasures at jumble sales sometime... Enjoyed your creativity in these words.
ReplyDeleteI like the second, with the persona and voice of the Cat. Funny. Thank you for your commentary on today's poem.
ReplyDeleteLove the jumble of the two when read together
ReplyDeleteTo think we salvaged you from the jumble sale... I think that's what my Mom said when she found me.....
ReplyDeleteP.S. Guess who's in my show today.

ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful talent for crafting stories out of 140 characters :D I had no idea that there was a site out there that did 140 character poetry. It's my new obsession! Do you share any of these gems on Twitter?
ReplyDeleteNo Rose, Even though 140 characters is meant for Tweeter.
