Image: Mount Kinabalu view from Kundasan (here)
Cool air from highlands
Envelops meadows below
Heavenly promise
Luxuriant green but
Small creatures magnanimous
in freedom's wild romps
Ruefully crying
Life lost untold destruction
Rare earthquake endured
Note: Recent earthquake on Mount Kinabalu caused 18 deaths
For Chev's CARPE DIEM 754 - meadows
Earthquakes are never good, they cause so much destruction

ReplyDeleteI know some people in Nepal near where the earthquake was there. It can be so devastating, and in te blink of an eye, everything changes.
ReplyDeleteEarthquakes are a scary thing mother nature sends our way

A wonderful little story, with a sad tone, caught in three nice haiku. Earthquakes aren't pretty, but sometimes they bring a lot of new nature .... Even an earthquake, notwithstanding the sadness and harm it brings, can have a positive result on the beauty of Mother Nature.
