sudden musical drama

Perfect timing for
any day at break of dawn
The sun's rays peek out

Chirpings in the trees
sudden musical drama
breaks loose for new day

Dawn brings a new day
but nothing's changed for many
Homeless trudge along

For Chev's CARPE DIEM #750  -  dawn

  4. Gustave Eiffel created a great punctuation mark for sun-up. Your lines do him justice.

  5. Sad, because the daybreak should bring hope.

  6. Yes, the homeless. Great way to end this series, Hank---with this powerful reminder that there are those for whom dawn is just the beginning of another day to be dreaded.

  7. Very nicely penned...yes, in the city we see at dawn how the homeless have to move around, circulate as the cops tell them...and after rush hour some come back to the subway and snooze until midafternoon.. .
