Great harvest poem. I live in the country and by me, harvest time means a lot of harvest trucks speeding back and forth down my road like maniacs. Every once in a while they hit and kill a cat or some poultry. But harvest time is a good time, anyway, when farmers find out if their hard work has paid off.
Squirreling food away indeed! :)

ReplyDeleteWe all need to squirrel away things for winter, I think...saving some of the bountiful harvest for the long winter.
ReplyDeleteGreat images that conjure up harvesting time very well. I suppose the canning season is the way we humans squirrel away.
ReplyDeleteMany have to squirrel away food to live through the winter indeed. Harvesting can be interesting to watch, for a few minutes anyway.
