the odd shaped fruit is a bit odd...ha...i have seen watermelons like that too....do love a juicy melon in the summer
ReplyDeleteGood source of watery fruit. Had seen such melons a few days back on national geographic channel. farmers put the fruits from the begging stages in a glass container shaped as a cube.
ReplyDeleteYou got it right Vandana! Thanks.
DeleteHank
what is it?
ReplyDeleteLisa Ma'am,
DeleteThe fruit is allowed to mature in a cube shaped container to retain such a shape. Otherwise if allowed to progress naturally the fruit will be round as other melons
Hank
Easy for shipping too, and they won't roll???
DeleteI have yet to see one though. Interesting about the drum... as people thump melons to see if they are ripe. Nice play with words there.
Thanks for your visit. ~Jules
Makes you wonder what strange medicine and science created that square melon. Although I just read above about the cube container.
ReplyDeleteThe melons in the photo look like they were bred especially to fit into boxes!
ReplyDeleteA perfect square, some with ocd would jump up and cheer those haha
ReplyDeleteGood juicy fruit just right for the hot weather.
ReplyDeleteBack again like the bad penny.
Hope all is well with you.
Wonder what it took to create that
ReplyDeleteWonderfully written Hank I never had seen a squared melon ...
