A Feeding Bird

Can one be faulted
Seeing blooms red in color
Can these draw the crowd?

Not anybody
But the will of survival
Prompts a little bird

And in so doing
Creates a classic pose for
an enthusiast

  4. A classic pose, yes. But I can't blame the handsome bird to want to be amidst that beautiful red!

  10. What a gorgeous share, Hank. This little bird is so perky and the flowers make a striking display. You have turned the image into metaphor very well.

  13. Hank, whoever captured that moment deserves an award. Your depiction of that gutsy little guy's dare, to try to outshine the flowers, is great. Tenacious bird, and you know what? He succeeded, for me.

Loved the whole observation, tip to toe. Thanks, Hank! Amelita
