Creeper of a kind
Climbing tenaciously of
parasitic sway

Morning dew sprinkles
on purple charms faithfully
with brilliant sparkles

Not cultivated
But a survivor no less
Holding out its own

Written for Chev's haiku at CARPE DIEM #42 with prompt - morning glory

  3. I enjoy how you sneak in that parasitic sway for a bit of contrast and yet to me there's something so beautiful about the symbiosis of a vine intertwining with another plant.

  6. In the photo, it looks like a light is glowing inside of it. Beautiful. And as you describe in your haiku, a very adaptable, resilient vine.

  11. I'm always intrigued by morning glories in tropical and sub-tropical climes: They never die, but just keep on growing!
