Tim Burton’s great makes
Eccentric and a genius
Born of unusuals
Dreamt myriads of dreams
Likened to Mendusa’s hair
Faces but sans snakes
Way out from others
Where some alien happenings
Make for surprises
Note: We are to write on Tim Burton or works relating to him. A fitting description of Tim is quoted from TTT - 'an artist, animator,a poet,a director and more...I think the word eccentric describes him best'.
Written for TTT for their 100th prompt - Eccentric and d'Verse 'Where in The World' alien based
dreaming myriads of dreams is a good thing..and seems his had many different shades...some look rather frightening...ha..alien happenings surely make for surprises..smiles
ReplyDeleteI really like this! I surfed over from your link on the Think Tank Thursday... :)
ReplyDeleteIf anyone could do alien worlds, it is Tim Burton. Nicely done, I think he and Ray Bradbury would have made some interesting sci fi together!
ReplyDeleteHank,
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely fantastic. You have captured my imagination with your words. Excellent :)
Eileen
tim burton def does some fascinating things....have you seen the previews for frankenweiner...lol....would not mind a glimpse into his mind...
ReplyDeleteI saw his Corpse Bride.. weird...and also Johnny Depp in Sleepy Hollow... weird again... but GOOD
ReplyDeleteNicely written Hank!
Tim is a bit alien, isn't he? :) And his works often live at that edge where the alien and weird break in upon normal, everyday lives. I love his film, Beetlejuice, as well as his take on Sleepy Hollow!
ReplyDeleteI like this:
ReplyDelete"and a genius
Born of unusuals"
Yeah he is a bit out there and eccentric would be the word to use, even though a lot of his stuff seems to be the same thing over and over again now a days.
ReplyDeleteLuv Tim Burton's creativity and ur use of it in your presentation.
ReplyDeletePerfect person to highlight for the alien effects--Burton definitely creates some alien worlds. Enjoyed it, Hank.
ReplyDeleteEccentric people are very often geniuses, and vice versa.........anyone interested in aliens should watch the film The Fourth Kind - showing actual FILM FOOTAGE of alien abductions. Extremely freaky. But fascinating.
ReplyDeleteI think maybe he had more nightmares! I like your take on the prompt.
ReplyDeleteMyriads of dreams. I like the sound of that - and adore the result. Superb.
ReplyDeleteI love his movies, aliens and eccentric hair ~
ReplyDeleteHappy day to you ~
You have travelled far in your writing. Ideas abound like shooting stars.
ReplyDeleteLove your take on Tim Burton.
A nice take on Mr Burton's talents.
ReplyDeleteA little weirdness goes a long way, and in Burton's case it's led right off the deep end...must be why I like him so much! Very nice take on the prompt :)
ReplyDeleteNice!! Medusa reference...true that! Nicely done!
ReplyDeletei'm not big into Tim Burton, but i can see why you picked him for a topic cone job.
