Image: Lighted Bottle (here)
the 10 of 12 given words:
family joy owe passing act
back soul those progress power
a family joy owed to a passing fancyan act of wanting to anticipate an outcome
back then a message in a bottle is quite known
but a lighted candle what can be foremost
the reason and how will it last in that state
oxygen permitting to guide the soul
given to those living the lives of the heart
to progress in an ocean blown by the wind
will require the strength of spiritual power
but never to surrender to stormy weather
placing one's hopes and aspiration strongly
in divine protection to survive the perilous
journey into the unknown
Wisdom flows through this Hank! A beautiful poem and message! We must never surrender to stormy weather!
ReplyDelete"oxygen permitting to guide the soul" - indeed!
ReplyDeleteThis gave me shivers. Marvelous!
ReplyDeleteA perilous trip for the light. If the jar is sealed it will remain dry but the flame will be extinguished; if the lid is pierced so the flame gets oxygen the water will seep in and extinguish the flame. The light is a fragile thing to be set asea!!
ReplyDeleteThat is why you need spiritual power and belief as there is no other way.
ReplyDeleteWe have to make ourselves perfectly fitted that the light may dwell in us. A formidable task no doubt
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday Hank
Much💗love
I love the lines about living the lives of the heart, and the strength of spiritual power. Wonderful, Hank.
ReplyDeleteSeems like what we are living with with this pandemic. About requiring the strength of spiritual power.
ReplyDelete'journey into the unknown' .... we have been living this for so long.
ReplyDeleteNice read and use of the ccx word list, Hank.
ReplyDeleteIn WWII we had a song, we sang it in school, "Praise the Lord and pass ammunition." Keeping the candle lit, we also had another that I liked, "Coming in on a wing and a prayer." Mrs. Jim's brother didn't make it back on his P-38 as he was shot down and killed over Italy.
..
I do like your message here and agree, wonderful use of words too excellent piece!
