If we must have a wall, we should try the Great Wall of China. I'd like it built in Georgia. Plant trees and gardens. Add a playground, they may only finish maybe kilometer. It might make a fun park. With elections in 2018, the big orange better hurry.
ReplyDeleteI say No to the wall actually~
ReplyDeleteWalls have been around a long time. There are forty-seven countries who have walls around their borders right now.
ReplyDeleteActually I googled Alex, the number is 67.
DeleteWow, I didn't know there were so many walls.

ReplyDeleteI see that wall as a symptom of a coming recession. I don't think it will get completed if much of it gets started.
ReplyDeleteHank, I wrote about the Mexican Border the other day showing pictures of the area. This wall would cost a loooooot of money.
ReplyDeleteUgh, ugh. No no no.
ReplyDeleteOf course it will need to be the biggest and best....and heavily gilded with gold.....
ReplyDeleteAlas walls seems to be the new fashion
ReplyDeleteOh no way!
ReplyDeleteThe inclusion of famed walls of the past making up the bulk of the piece would lead me to think that it is implying the ironically archaic quality of any future walls, as well as their inevitable decay.
ReplyDelete"Third (plus some X ?) time is the charm" - Oh yah :))
ReplyDeleteBut it did lead to a great tanka
