The Shuuchuugouu has a way with moods - a Haibun

shuuchuugouu (severe localized downpour)

The shuuchuugouu has a way with moods. It revels in afflicting an innocent
soul sitting at the front porch. One who is looking forward to enjoying a puff.
Playing with a pipe in his mouth nonchalantly twirls it a little as the clouds
above move ever so slowly across the blue skies. He dreams of a beautiful
flower his mind far away his eyes remain close he smiles every so often.

Suddenly a gust of wind swung hard against the open windows with a
loud bang.It signals a turn in the weather and so also his mood. A sudden
chill and the sky turns grey. He is now no more in a dream and he waits

It is bound to happen. In that part of the country that is how the drama
unfolds. A sudden shriek the trees in the distance swaying each trying
to uproot itself to seek shelter. A grimace slightly not outwardly
depressing but thankful that Providence sees it plain he ought to
be doing something.else

The heavens come down suddenly with vengeance. He gets up to stretch
himself. He walks slowly in through the door. He is to fulfill his obligation
inspired with ideas as prompted by the April showers.

Squalls and biting rain
Conscience ignited brilliance
Thankful to nature

  2. A downpour can sure drench one, much like a ton of ideas can too.

  9. I love the different moods, specially the one with the vengence. I must confess that I don't like this kind of rain. Thanks for joining us Hank.
