I for Inventions
The given words:
mirror ravish stop brush weight vent
sink tooth cement orange page spoon
Great minds will it
Others mirror it
Entrepreneurs ravish it
Followers stop to think
Many just happen to brush in
Some throw their weight in
to vent their anger
They hope to sink in a bid
They fight tooth and nail
To cement their prowess
on how to make their pile
Not stopping for orange alert
but instead they bulldoze in
picking from a page of discoveries
to spoon unsuspecting consumers
with 'nice to have' inventions

Very clever, Hank. What would we do without all of the wonderful INVENTIONS?
ReplyDeleteHey this is clever! I'm struggling with the Whirligig right now and I arrived here via A-Z
ReplyDeleteIf no one had taken the first step, we'd still be in the stone ages
ReplyDeletethis reminds me of how the world was almost unchanging until now we live in a whirlwind of change.
ReplyDeleteHaha, very clever use of prompts :)

Very clever indeed, this was quite fun!
ReplyDeleteThis is so true especially in light of the release of the apple watch, which people are rushing to order. Now everyone thinks they cannot live without that invention. Good thoughts here Hank.
ReplyDeleteYou have really challenged yourself, haven't you? Interesting how what we did not use to have suddenly becomes something we cannot do without.
ReplyDeleteNicely done and very clever! Love it!
ReplyDeleteVery cool post. I like the writing.
ReplyDeleteWe need those inventions, and sometimes it requires 1000s of people, at others a single inventor..
ReplyDeletesometimes i wonder which of the "inventions" we really need... some are useful but honestly - who needs a cream that makes men's beardhair smooth..
ReplyDeleteLoved the poem with its easy rhyming flow :D truly spectacular :D
ReplyDeleteSome inventions are helpful, while others are clearly made just for the money ~
ReplyDeleteHasn't been many great inventions lately
ReplyDeleteWe are so dependent on our inventions, aren't we? This flows so well, Hank, and nice how you used the words.
ReplyDeleteI mean, i live off great inventions... some I could do without tho.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting. Inventions was a great one to come up with. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletehandsome.
