slow in movements but like magic
it can be expected to cover
much grounds roaming
the whole expanse
this is home!
this is home!
they thrive on their own prowess
to survive
They swarm upon each other
in friendly banter without words
to survive
They swarm upon each other
in friendly banter without words
maintaining passions
as a human in all mannerisms
as a human in all mannerisms
for this is home!
much can be revealed
in body language, storming,
shrieking or lying lazily
in body language, storming,
shrieking or lying lazily
A creature of the forest
It jumps hangs and swings
It jumps hangs and swings
this is home
and enjoying every minute
of it all
and that’s the orangutan
and that’s the orangutan
threatened with extinction
in his beloved home

I always found them interesting to watch. Much can be revealed in body language for many species. I watched a special on them once on TV. - Truedessa
ReplyDeleteLet's hope their forest home manages to survive, on this troubled Earth-of-today. Loved the baby-on-the-back. :-)
ReplyDeleteI echo Jinsky's comment. Well said, Hank!
ReplyDeleteAn important yet sad reminder. To be threatened in one's own territory or home is reality for these creatures and other species, as well as humans. In our case, we mostly do it to ourselves.
ReplyDeleteWhat a unique look at home! They are certainly interesting creatures to watch. I, too, love the baby on the back.
ReplyDeleteMost interesting to read Hank. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture you painted of the home of the Orangutan So sad that their own home is threatened
ReplyDeleteBeautifully stated, Hank! I hope they keep their home.
