the 12 given words:
apart chance barter
credence (belief as to the truth)
star fly sly shoot shy mar chart
cadence (rhythmic flow of a sequence of sounds or words)
apart from a chance of barter
sea-faring days of traders are numbered
credence to this claim is the better
of Amazon's place as the star
performer of an online business model
to fly high and nothing sly
nor of having to shoot
from the hip shy of murder
nothing to mar a peek into the future
in the manner of the exchange
of wares for money
they managed to chart a path
of expectations and convenience
for the man on the street
for which the cadence of the song
and structure helps smoothen the flow

Oh, let's hope that everything does flow smoothly!
ReplyDeleteI just wish big corporations paid taxes, it would certainly help reduce the deficit! LOL. Always lovely to see you, Hank.
ReplyDeleteI am afraid Amazon is taking over the world. What will become of small businesses.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to reality!
ReplyDeleteFlowing smoothly only works until it doesn't. Amazon sure is taking over.
ReplyDeleteA path of expectations and convenience- yes, that is Amazon for sure; and I am not sure it is all bad or all good!
ReplyDeleteAlthough it doesn't seem to allow much room for competition, Amazon does also give an opportunity for many 'little people' to make money.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting reflection. While the path may be charted, it is rarely (or so it seems to me) clear sailing!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Sherry, I can't see any reason why big companies often multinationals can escape the need to pay taxes. It is as though they hold nations to ransom. I can understand the the first two years they could be eligible for assistance in start up after that pay up like the rest of us!
ReplyDeleteAmazon is a bit biased in my opinion .. it doesn't allow a lot of countries to register and use it.
ReplyDeleteAnd now they're too big.
ReplyDeleteI think "expectation and convenience" might be the answer to why so many use Amazon.
ReplyDeleteAmazon has got too big I agree Hank.
ReplyDeleteFood for thought .
Yvonne.
Amazon was once just a river. Now it's a sea of conflicting words and emotions. 🤔
ReplyDeleteIt’s like a whole new city, Hank!
