little ones are content to be followers

in all of its modesty  (here)

the 12 given words:
blow strike hazy water climb high
drain slide stick message line scraps

what a blow to strike a deal
that is hazy in all of its complicity
does not hold water in arguments
but a contention hollow in makeup

is it wise to climb high but drained
of resources to eventually slide back
never to stick tightly within grips?

the message is clear

there are both male and female
apples and it is not an embarrassment
but to toe the line to seek
solace in numbers

the bigger groups are expected
to assume the leadership role on
account of support from within

those little ones are content
to be followers to survive on scraps
of past due edibles blaming
society for their woes!

  1. Hi Bjorn. Apples, maple and females in their own sets of groups, large and small. Group size wins and gains control. How'd I do, Dr. Librarian?
It was a fun read about serious situations.

  3. An astute commentary on the political scene disguised as apples. Clever, Hank! (It took me a few looks to notice the underwear, LOL.)

  8. Male and female apples? Never knew. Although I'm still distracted by the ones wearing underwear in the photo...

  9. That is a very interesting poem, Hank! I am left wondering over this line: "but to toe the line to seek/solace in numbers". I doubt if it is the way to go in the long run. Very well penned!
