is the 4th anniversary of the discovery)
On a night cool and breezy
As it progresses nonchalantly
In motion the likes of sweet poetry
A poem lovely as....
a flower in bloom makes its entry
A stunning damsel in all innocence
The focus of all aspiring attention
Skipping along devoid of hindrance
A poem lovely as .....
the rainbow emblazoned invokes questions
Do I stand a chance
To entice her for a dance?

She sounds like a show-stopper! I enjoyed this, Hank.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is a delight! And what a neat idea to use poetry as a metaphor in this context.
ReplyDeleteOh! my god! this is so enchanting poem and I am sure the lady will be ready to dance around the earth!
ReplyDeleteThis was a real pleasure to read Hank. Lovely words lovely theme.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Love this especially; "A poem lovely as the rainbow emblazoned were asking questions." 💖
ReplyDeleteHa! With these lines, you definitely stand a chance. I like the emblazoned rainbow asking questions in particular.
ReplyDelete-HA
After being compared to a flower and a rainbow, how could she possibly say no?
ReplyDeleteAsk or forever regret not asking.

Some poems are all rainbows and flowers to the senses.
ReplyDeleteHank this is lovely, my new favorite of yours!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ... Somme poems bring incredible light with them.
ReplyDeleteHave to ask or forever unknown
ReplyDeleteI think you can sweet talk your way :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lyrical poem, Hank!
ReplyDeleteBe brave Hank, ask and you won't be disappointed.
ReplyDeleteIs it every year that C/2014 Q2 (Lovejoy) appears, probably not as most aren't. I do hope you can see it though whenever it comes.
ReplyDelete..
